FAQ and Support

POWDERED OMEGA-3 DOG SUPPLEMENT

What is Omega-3 by Pawsomely Healthy and how is it different from other fish oil supplements for dogs?

Our Omega-3 dog supplement is made from bioavailable, sustainably sourced fish oil derived from wild-caught cold-water anchovies, free from heavy metals that could be harmful to your dog. Unlike most fish oil supplements, our powdered Omega-3 comes in easy-to-twist vegetable capsules and is produced using a spray-drying method that preserves a high concentration of essential fatty acids (EPA & DHA) in a stable, convenient form. This process reduces the risk of oxidation and rancidity and makes it ideal for dogs with health conditions that prevent them from consuming oil. Plus, it's mess-free and easy to use — simply open the capsule and sprinkle the powder onto your dog’s food.

How early can I get my puppy started on Omega-3?

Our Omega-3 supplement is safe for daily use in puppies 3 months of age or older.

What if my dog has a health condition?

If your dog has a health condition or is on regular medication, please consult your veterinarian before starting any supplements.

Where is your product made?

Our Omega-3 supplement is manufactured in the USA in a cGMP-compliant facility, registered with the FDA and certified by the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC). The manufacturing process is overseen by experienced technicians and doctors, ensuring precise dosages and strict quality control. Every step of production follows a comprehensive testing protocol to guarantee safety, purity, and effectiveness.

Where do the ingredients come from?

We are committed to using only the highest quality raw materials. Our Omega-3 fish oil is sourced from sustainably wild-caught anchovies in the South Pacific, ensuring purity and environmental responsibility.

How should I give these supplements to my dog?

Our Omega-3 supplement comes in easy-to-twist veggie capsules. If your dog prefers, you can simply open the capsule and sprinkle the powder over their food.

My dog is currently taking a prescribed medication. Are your supplements safe for them to take?

You should always consult your veterinarian before starting any supplementation program – especially, if your dog has a health condition or is taking medications.

My pup doesn’t like to take pills. How can I get him to take supplements daily?

For dogs who are picky eaters, we recommend opening the capsule and sprinkling the powder over their food. Most dogs love the distinct anchovy flavor and taste!

Will my dog have any reaction to the supplements? Like an upset stomach?

Our supplement was formulated with high-quality and bioavailable ingredients, so any unpleasant reaction is rather unlikely. However, some dogs with sensitive stomachs might have slight stomach discomfort that should subside within the first few days. If the symptoms persist, we recommend pausing use and contacting your veterinarian. We also recommend contacting us at contactus@pawsomelyhealthy.com

Why does the powder have a fishy smell?

Our supplement contains fish oil from wild-caught anchovies, which naturally has a distinct fishy aroma. While it may seem strong to us, most dogs love the scent and flavor!

Can my dog have an allergic reaction to your supplements?

Our supplements contain fish oil extracted from wild-caught anchovies, a small cold-water fish. While fish and shellfish allergies are rare in dogs, if your pup has a known allergy or has previously had a reaction to fish or shellfish, this supplement may not be suitable for them. Always consult your veterinarian if you’re unsure.

What happens if my dog accidentally eats more than the recommended daily dose?

Our supplements are made with high-quality, bioavailable ingredients and undergo rigorous testing at every stage of manufacturing. However, if your dog consumes more than the suggested dose and shows any negative symptoms or signs of illness, please contact your veterinarian.

  • Small dogs – Up to 25 lbs
  • Medium dogs – 25 to 45 lbs
  • Large dogs – 45 to 100 lbs

SINGLE INGREDIENT NATURAL BEEF ORGAN TREATS

What makes Pawsomely healthy treats different from other dog treats?

Many dog treats on the market contain artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, and common allergens like corn, wheat, and soy. Our 100% beef lung, spleen, and liver dog treats keep it simple- with just one ingredient: premium beef organ meat.

Organ meats are naturally nutrient-rich, packed with essential vitamins (A, B12, C, D, E, K) and minerals like iron, phosphorus, copper, selenium, and magnesium, all of which help support your dog’s overall health and well-being. Unlike highly processed treats, which may taste great but lack real nutrition, our dehydrated treats are minimally processed, preserving their natural color, nutrients, and texture. Think of it as the difference between fast food and a wholesome, homemade meal!

How should I feed Pawsomely Healthy treats to my dog?

Our beef organ treats are perfect as a nutrient-rich snack between meals, a food topper, a healthy reward, or a high-value training treat. They’re a great way to treat your pup while adding extra protein and essential nutrients to their diet.

While packed with healthy protein, these treats are intended for supplemental or intermittent feeding only and are not a substitute for a complete and balanced meal. Remember, treats should not make up more than 10% of your dog's daily diet for balanced nutrition. Always provide fresh water to keep your pup hydrated.

Where do you source and make your treats?

Our beef organ treats are sourced from Midwestern farmers and ranchers within a 250-mile radius of our manufacturing facility. Only Angus and Angus/Hereford crossbred cattle are used for our treats, as they are known for their superior quality. All cattle are born, raised, and harvested in the USA and processed in USDA-certified facilities to ensure the highest standards.

How are dehydrated dog treats made?

Dehydrated dog treats are made by slowly drying raw ingredients (such as spleen, liver, and lung) using low heat over an extended period. Air drying beef organ treats is done at temperatures between 120°F and 160°F (49°C to 71°C). This gentle process preserves the natural nutrients, flavor, and aroma of the organ meat while ensuring the treats are dried thoroughly to kill any harmful pathogens and prevent spoilage. The key benefit of air drying is that it retains more nutrients, making the treats both healthier and more enjoyable for dogs.

What is the shelf life of your treats?

The product has a shelf life of 24 months. Once you have opened the bag, use the contents within a 6 month time frame.

Do you use any preservatives for shelf life?

No preservatives, additives, or chemicals of any kind are used in our single ingredient beef organ treats.

Should I refrigerate your treats?

No, refrigeration is not needed. Our treats are dehydrated, meaning moisture and live pathogens have been removed, making them naturally shelf-stable. Simply store them in a cool, dry place and keep the bag sealed when not in use. Avoid exposure to moisture, and your treats will stay fresh.

Is your manufacturing facility certified?

Yes, our manufacturing facility is certified annually under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) by an independent third-party auditing firm. This globally recognized certification ensures compliance with the highest food safety and quality standards. Our facility has achieved the highest "Grade AA Rating," covering key areas such as HACCP Food Safety Plan, Quality Management, Site Standards, and Process Control. This ensures that our facility upholds the strictest quality and safety measures, making treats you can trust.
